MSU Faculty of Commerce Admission 2024The Faculty of Commerce has been a premier institute of education in Business Studies since 1949 and it was the first of its kind in India. When it was established in 1942, it was known as the Maharaja Pratapsinh College of Commerce and Economics. The varied academic staff has the experience and qualifications to take up the challenges of education and research in Business Studies. The Faculty offers undergraduate, post-graduate, and doctoral programmes leading to B.Com., M.Com. and Ph.D. Degrees. The faculty also offers BBA and three Post Graduate Diplomas in Business Management, Busines Economics, Banking and Cooperative Management to cater to specialized needs of students. Over the years, the faculty has expanded, quantitatively as well as qualitatively, to meet with the ever-increasing educational needs of the cosmopolitan city of Vadodara. At present the Faculty has five departments viz.

India's internationally renowned The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (1949) has blossomed from the Baroda College (1881) which is one of the oldest centres of learning in western India. MSU is the only state University with a residential, unitary character having English as sole medium of instruction with more than 1200 well-qualified faculty members and 1500 administrative staff to facilitate the learning of more than 35000 students having cosmopolitan life on campus.

Spread over an area of 30 acres, the campus is a marvelous example of well-designed buildings and a fascinating landscape. Founded in 1949 along with the establishment of M S University by His Highness the late Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad 3, the college buildings are now heritage sites. The buildings are spacious, well-lit, and well-ventilated with sufficient common areas and connected through semi-covered corridors and pathways. Stepped lecture theaters, congregational areas, auditoriums, conference halls equipped with LCD projectors, drawing halls and multi-activity students' court provide the opportunity to the students to intermingle among themselves and exchange ideas.

Hostel Fees
MSU Faculty of Commerce Hostels 2024
The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda has one of the largest Hostel Campuses in western India. 12 Boys Hostels and 4 Girls Hostels are spread over an area of approximately 100 acres. All the students residing in the hostels are provided with minimum facilities like a bed, a cupboard, a table and a chair in the room individually. All the hostels are equipped with In every Hostel automatic gas fired hot water boilers facility, which provides hot water during the winter season. Hostels are also equipped with a dining hall, a common hall, a Mike system facility, etc.
